When you hire a real estate agent to sell your home for you, you can also expect to sell the home quickly and for more money. Real estate agents have all the necessary tools to sell your home, and this is why they can do it so efficiently.

Real estate agents know how to price homes correctly in order to attract the largest amount of buyers possible. The average homeowner simply doesn’t have access to the right tools to do this. Also, real estate agents have strict marketing plans in place that put your home in front of a large audience of buyers. They know how to get people’s attention. It’s not as easy as putting a ‘for sale’ sign in your yard.

Another task that agents are equipped to handle is the contract negotiation. They have to negotiate with many different professionals and look over many different documents. The average person would struggle staying organized, and would probably not be as skilled at negotiating the best deals. Realtors often have relationships formed with other parties anyway, which makes negotiation even smoother for them.

Keep in mind that Realtors can sell a home for 14% more money than if the average Joe was to try to sell a home. When we’re talking about homes, a 14% difference could mean tens of thousands of dollars. This would be a $44,000 difference in Austin, given the average home price.
